Action! by Design has been working with the Worcester Education Collaborative, the organization convening the Roundtable, to support coalition building and meeting facilitation and help inform strategy, initiative development, and awareness building. 

• We coordinate and convene the Steering Committee and the full membership group, facilitate discussions, take and distribute notes, and follow up with members on tasks and assignments.

• We’ve facilitated multiple workshops including initiative brainstorms, community engagement, and coalition strategy.

• We supported the development of the coalition’s charge and mission statement: “Centered in ground truth and the lived experience of students and families, the Worcester Education Equity Roundtable is a visionary coalition that leverages the collective impact of partners to interrogate, reimagine, inform, and help enact systems, policies, and practices that impact education.”

As a result of our work, the Roundtable has expanded its membership, established regular processes to amplify the impact of our work, refined core focus areas; 1) Raising Questions, 2) Exploring Critical Issues, and 3) Taking Action & Informing Practice, and defined opportunities and actions under these areas.
