As a citizen-centered design company, we work with our clients to deliver products, programs, and campaigns that work with target populations to create real-world, human experiences. The Community Programs Coordinator is an energetic, poised individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who will work with the Action! team and our clients to coordinate programs that engage people and create lasting experiences. This role will tackle the ideation, coordination, and execution of programs and events for Action! by Design and our clients. From coordinating our Action! Think Tanks to working with clients to brainstorm events that strengthen community, this dynamic role is about relationship building, detailed event coordination, and creative thinking.
Primary Goals & Responsibilities of the Podcast Production Associate:
Assist in development, planning, and implementation of events and projects to effectively address the client’s requirements according to the objective(s), schedule and budget
Coordinate the intake of data and materials submitted by clients
Plan, develop schedules, timelines, and prioritize projects and proactively communicate with program staff to ensure timely project delivery
Document and maintain records of current project plans, meeting minutes, decisions, project reports, schedules, budgets, cost tracking reports, and other pertinent records
Coordinate tasks assigned to interns, consultants, research teams, and client staff and maintain communication with clients and their partners including; municipalities, citizens, and others as required
Develop and maintain an effective relationship with clients, team members, senior leadership and other business development staff
Manage volunteer and student outreach and recruitment for relevant programs
Update senior management, and other interested parties as appropriate, on project details and changes in a timely manner
Create portfolio status reports for Action! leadership that include program outcomes, challenges, and opportunities
Own any other duties/responsibilities as assigned

Meticulous attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-driven and able to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Demonstrates the ability to assess priorities and operate in a flexible manner in order to meet the dynamic needs of the team
Willingness to work flexible hours, some evenings and weekends required
Experience with event planning and community organizing a plus!
Experience in urban planning, community development, and/or economic development a plus!
Legal authorization to work in the US
